The extent of my Easter religious activities- Some Reverend Gary Davis gospel blues on my old 1951 LG-2.

Hope you all enjoyed Easter. We get Friday and Monday off in Australia.Makes for a nice break.Idyllic Autumn weather in Sydney for those 4 days.Sunny, not a breath of wind. All is good!"I heard the angels singing" is the song.

Terrific

Did you learn it by ear or a la bluesking with a tutorial ?

Cheers mate!

There's a great Youtube of Rev.Davis playing this - close ups of left hand chords. It's not a tutorial - but nearly as good as one.

So I learnt by eye and ear I guess.

edit...and I dumbed it down to my level of course. [smile]

I love me some Rev. Gary Davis !!! After hearing Harlem Street Singer, I fell in love with a lot of his gospel songs. Good job on the cover. If you get a chance check out frankie12string on Youtube. His covers of "Lo, I'll Be With You Always" and "Twelve Gates To The City" are incredible !
