Bigsby for Epiphone Sheraton

you would want to look at the Vibramate adapter with the Bigsby.

this link will show you the chart for compatible adapters: http://www.vibramate.com/vibramate-model-chart.php

so for a sherry, this is the vibramate adapter:

http://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Parts/All_Hardware_and_Parts_by_Instrument/Archtop_Guitar_Parts/Archtop_Guitar_Bridges_and_Tailpieces/Vibramate_V5_Adapter_for_Bigsby_B5.html

and this would be the corresponding bisgby to go with the V5 adapter.

or

this: (if you can find one Gold plated) is probably ideal as it would make a better fit for break angle to the bridge.

The B-5 above, is (usually) used on Solid Body guitars...SG's, "Slab body" Les Paul's, etc.

The B-7 is more common, on Thinline Archtops (Like the Sheraton). There is a Vibramate system,

for the B-7, and other Bigsby's as well.

Good Luck, with your "mod!" [thumbup]

A B6 doesn't leave holes in the top so it's sell able to bigsby lovers, and those that do not like a trem can take it off. Drill a hole and only a bigsby fan will buy it.

With a B6 you can't suspend the git by the arm and bop the body up and down on its own weight, but only serious trem addicts do that :-)

Hey CB!

Actually the solid block where the unit is installed is probably why Vibramate suggests the V5 for the Sheraton as ONE option.

Of course, if you go the Vibramte route, you change nothing, just remove to stop bar.

The v7-335 / B7 (http://www.vibramate.com/vibramate-v7-335-install.php) combo I think would in fact be better as it would put the string termination down closer to the bottom of the body, and thus make a more reasonable brake angle over the bridge. the gold gold plated variant which one would want for a sherry.. is +$30.. (I'm tempted..)

No help with your question, but I put a B7 on my Elitist Casino:

Two things, however:

1. This was NOT my first guitar with a Bigsby

2. I knew I'd never sell this guitar, I like it too much

Other than that, have at it

The B-7 w/Vibramate doesn't require any holes to be drilled. The longer plate, under the B-7 allows for the "anchor" screw.

But, the B-6 is a good option, too, should he want to go that route. I just think the B-7 is a bit more stable, less side

to side movement. But (maybe?) that's just Me?
