Hey everyone,
first time Gibson owner here as I purchased this LPJ 120th anniversary edition the other day 2nd hand. Hoping I got a decent deal on it ($300). I've always wanted a Les Paul but didnt want to pay the dollars associated with some of the high end models. Can anyone tell me some info regarding this model, dont understand the serial number process. From what I have learnt is that the body Attached File  serial number.jpg (101.2K)
Number of downloads: 20 may be built in 2010??
this thing sounds fantastic so I'm hoping it checks out ok...
cheers all!

Attached File(s)

  • Attached File  Gibson.jpg (42.02K)
    Number of downloads: 31
  • Attached File  full.jpg (45.06K)
    Number of downloads: 16

Hello and welcome...

2014 was the anniversary year.. and it even says so on the back of the headstock.. :)

So that's all you need.. its a 2014 LPJ and yes it looks legit from the pics.. If you want it confirmed you can email those pics and the serial number to Gibson Customer Service.

2014 serial numbers.. So yours was the 4324th guitar built that year

No worries.. Enjoy it :)

They are really great guitars for their price.. And they are made in the same place by the same people who make the Standards and all the other USA models. They just arnt as blingy as a Standard level guitar (thin finish, no MOP headstock inlay and no binding) but they rock just as hard [thumbup]

in 2014, Gibson started putting the 1st two digits of the serial as the year, and the rest of the number is the production number.
