dwarfman78
Hi, i own a Gibson DC Custom Shop from the 90's, color is butterscotch but no serial is visible. The checklist says "NSN" (no serial number). Model name : CSDCSTH can anybody help me ? thx. And here are the pics : more photos here : https://myalbum.com/album/1tuv52XgGqtT
sparquelito
Man, I have never seen anything like that, especially the shape of that headstock. Is there a chance that the custom shop model designation is actually CSDC5TH? (That second 'S' looks more like a 5 to me.) That might mean, literally, CS = Custom Shop, DC = Double Cutaway, 5TH = the fifth in a custom run of that model. Just speculating.....
sparquelito
Ah, here we go. It's called the 1997 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Double Cut Pro. Some cousins of your guitar below, surely!! :) http://www.jvguitars.com/showproduct.pl?id=1112146687 https://www.gbase.com/gear/gibson-custom-shop-les-paul-double-cut-pro-
dwarfman78
thx i could have been more specific regarding the headstock, it is called "string straight pull" for tuning stability. However, why no serial ?! (potential buyers are suspicious about that)

Twang Gang
Really nice players guitar I'd say. No idea why they don't have a serial number - Gibson does some weird things sometimes (especially regarding serial numbers). Do you know what pickups are in this one - it seems they made them with different PUs, and even scale length. Like the way the knobs are moved forward toward the pickups and the toggle right there so everything is easy and fast to get to for changing on the fly. Looks to be in terrific shape for 20 year old are you selling it?
dwarfman78
Pickups were classic 57 originally, but i've put some hepcat 59 (PAF clones), dual volume pots, copper shielding, this guitar is a great player yes.
