Jamsam
Hey guys. I ordered the Brent Hinds (whoever that is) Flying V: https://reverb.com/item/5214664-epiphone-limited-edition-brent-hinds-signature-flying-v-with-lace-usa-brent-hammer-claw-pickups?gclid=CIOku-zd_tMCFZG6wAodQ5gBGQ&pla=1#&gid=1&pid=1. I was browsing the Sweetwater V selection , and saw this: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EGV1AINH. The Sweetwater V has a different slim taper neck and it is bolt-on, and different pick-ups. Any opinions on these two guitars? I am just second guessing my first order, after I saw the V at Sweetwater. Thanks!
charlie brown
Stick with the first one...with the "set neck!" Can't see how the other would be to any advantage, except less money. But, as always, that's merely IMHO. Enjoy your new "Brent Hinds" V. Just FYI, He's one of 2 guitarists in "Mastodon." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brent_Hinds CB

Megafrog
I would go for the Brent Hinds as well. I am not a fan of the bolt on neck. The Lace pickups will be better than the stock Epiphone pickups as well. The finish on the Hinds V is way better.
Jamsam
Well, I'm probably going to no longer be welcome here at Gibson forums, but I scrapped the idea of getting the Epi V and picked up a Schecter V. I was told that the Brent Hinds V would not be on until August 2017. This is after the ordering it in February, and having the date pushed Twive already. Frustration and burning desire for a V shape! It arrives today.
Pinch
Sure you are. Although I would have held out for a used Gibson 2017 V. God and natural disasters willing and unwilling, I'll never need another V.
