MorrisrownSal
I hope you like this.... its kind of like jazz chords played by a a guy who only knows cowboy chords.... It's a Ray Charles song. Recorded one take (well actually I re-recorded it a few times) Apogee MiC. Garage Band. https://soundcloud.c...ou-dont-know-me
j45nick
I love that song, and it is one we associate with Ray Charles, even though it was written (I think) by Eddy Arnold and Cindy Walker, and was recorded by Eddy and several others in the late 1950's before the Ray Charles version of the early 1960's took it way up the charts. The Ray Charles version came out when I was a love-struck 15-year-old, and it really spoke to me. Not much more than a year later, however, it was "Yeah, yeah, yeah...", and romantic country ballads like "You don't know me" took a back seat for a long, long time. Nice job, Sal. Murph
Holy Cow... Sal. You really have a knack for some of these classics. Your voice lends itself well. I also really liked your take on the Michael Jackson song, which would never have been in my wheelhouse. Great job.
