Winston27
I just bought an older Epiphone PR-5e and the battery compartment cover is missing and I don't know if the whole volume / equalizer unit works. Is it possible to replace this with a new unit that includes the tuner? Also, what kind of case will this fit in?
QuestionMark
I would think if you brought the guitar to any reputable luthier or guitar repair person or better yet, an authorized Gibson/Epiphone repair person they would be able to replace the sound system in the guitar and decently install it. Somewhere on the Gibson site is a list of Gibson/Epiphone authorized repair persons (or at least there used to be.). If you bring your guitar into any Guitar Center or Sam Ash or any music store, they'd likely have a case that would fit it. I can say for sure, but a believe a "concert size" guitar case fits a PR-5 model as ito my recollection they are smaller size guitars. Wherever you shop for a case should be able to tell you for sure. Best of luck. Hope this helps. QM aka Jazzman Jeff
