I'm lusting so bad for the ES-390 with minis.

It would be great to see an Epiphone version of it (basically a Casino coupe with minis).

Would you buy it?

And what is the easiest way to create something similar without actually buy the Gibson original?

Thank you all!

Kind of comparing apples and oranges, but a few years ago I "had to have" a Gibby 339 (semi hollow). I soon realized that it didn't do anything that my highly modded Dot or Gibby LP Standard could do, so I dumped it Point being, be careful what you wish for LOL. flyingarmadillo makes a good point on cost, but working on a hollow/semi hollow is a real patience tester.

I love semi-hollows with mini's. I picked up a 62 reissue Sheraton that was marked as a Used (factory second). Didn't have the Gibson minis, but the Seymour Duncans that most of them have. Only thing that I could find wrong with it, supposedly a finish issue with the gold hardware.Mine had nickel, including the frequensator tailpiece. Sold the SDs and put a set of Zhangbucker Firebirds on it. I'd bought one for the neck of a Tele and loved it, close to original design, not a mini without poles. Added a Maestro vibrola and it's my go-to guitar for Neil Young songs. Thick, nasty Tele on steroids tone. If you come across a "used" 62 reissue ($500), pick it up and build your own. I did the same thing with a RI Sorrento (under $500) and threw a set of Dearmond Rowe gold foils on it. Fun guitar. There are alternatives, and thye Used RIs are a bargain. Great modding platform.
