flatbaroque
Sacre Bleu! Sorry for the dodgy Aussie accent.Been a while since I've used my schoolboy French.Always wanted to do a Jacques Brel song in French.Managed a couple of verses anyway before the English. Just put D'addario Nickel and Bronze on the J-45.I think Lars recommended.Really good from the get go.A couple of hours old on this recording.Love 'em. Cheers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVAYQn9gO54&feature=youtu.be
Mafy31
Only a fool may attempt to cover J. Brel... Thx much for these 2 verses of french, was nice. Because Brel songs are poetry, with lyrics that would make Nobel Dylan blush, i can't stand the translation in english, the meaning and feeling of the song is lost. I think most songs suffer in translation.I'd like to learn a whole song in French but I need more time and patience. One day.
