Californiaman
OK I've been learning an Eric Clapton song this week and I'm having a little bit of trouble figuring out the effect at the beginning of this song. I know there's some kind of modulation going on, but I'm unsure if it's a chorus, flanger, or phaser. I'm leaning towards the phaser. How's about you all take a stab it tonight. The intro is GG, GG, C, DmDm, CC (repeat six times). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av9JFpk_A3s
surfpup
Sure sounds like a flange effect to me.
Californiaman
Thanks surfpup! After throwing on the Flange Factory in Garage Band, I definitely hear it now. Cool
LarryUK
It sounds like it's doubled too. Either with effect or played twice. Also, the choice of effect was limited back then. It could be a studio rack effect.
