Why? They discontinuing the used ones too?

Wow... Do you always have to take everything so literally.. Or do you get pleasure from constantly being contrary?

Obviously I was talking about if someone wanted a new one....

All I was doing here was trying to be nice and share some information if someone was interested in one of these amps..

I'm assuming its being replaced with an updated model. I can't imagine they'd just discontinue an incredibly popular amp. Yeah I know I'll find my answers in the video, but I didn't watch it yet. I had one briefly and it felt cheaply made for $700.

Come on Anderton's - its a reasonable deal, but Epic??

Buy em new any old day here for a touch under 600 GBP (delivered)...and that's on the other side of the world from the factory, so 15% off...just a regular sale I'd reckon. <_<

Really nice amp! The classic gain channel is great, ultra gain channel, IMO, is useless if you don't do the c19 mod.

Loud enough for bars and small clubs. Too loud for home playing.

The question is: Will Marshall be able to come up with a better model within this price range? :-k

I like the voicing a bit better than my recently acquired DSL15h probably is the EL34 as opposed to the 6V6's.

The dual reverb controls are cool and well so it is the fact that it has an effects loop. When you have that much gain you have to have a loop.

Would have been cool if they made a head version.

I used a JCM2000 DSL401 for quite a few years back then, rehearsed it but didn't gig it much, it got lost past noon on the volume. The DSL201 was great, I had one and should have kept it for recording. They were nice amps, then they went away for a while, and then they were back.

Hmm. So, if one was to be there for all to touch, would yous take it home new for $529 ? I am thinking about it really hard at this moment.

Regular price is 699.00. 529 would be almost 25% off. That's reasonable to me. If I were to find one that price, I'd go for it today.

Thanks, MichaelT. Yes, I know. Can't say I need it, but I'm about as tempted as one can be for the price.
