Chris in MD
Hey, i just picked up a 2006 Black Beauty Custom. I went to play a gig last night, plugged it in to my amp and the bridge pickup was making noise so bad that i had to constantly pull my volume down between songs. I didnt have my amp cranked, or excessive distortion, nor did i stand too close to my amp. I use the same levels with 2012 LP with Burstbuckers and its dead quiet. Do 498T's regularly have this issue? Just looking for suggestions on what to check before i go out and possibly buy a new pickup for no reason. Megafrog
I am having a similar issue with a pickup in one of my Flying Vs. I suspect it is a a grounding issue.

That popped into my mind after i posted this. I opened it up and i don't see anything out of place. Maybe i need to open up another LP and compare the two, it just doesn't make sense. I have another 498T and i never remember it doing this.
Guest Farnsbarns
Does it happen everywhere or have you only experienced it at that gig? Sorry if that's a silly question, you just never know unless you know.
