Prayers are with you brc , just hold on to your favorite guitar

Thanks Hayden,

I have my vintage and favorite guitars in very strong heavy safes.

Of course if the house is destroyed, I am not sure if the safes would survive .

Storm is not scheduled to come through here until late Sunday, early Monday and already the winds have started .

Dundee, the small city I am in, once power goes out we lose water also due to the pumps.

So stocked up on water, drinks food and most importantly plenty of beer.

This should be on hell of a ride.

You are definitely more in the path than I am - unlike last year with Matthew. We aren't even boarding up since we are supposed to get only 50-70 mph winds. You will get higher winds down there, so hang tight Sunday night and early Monday morning. I think we will all be out of power for a long time though, so that will suck.

It was a hell of a night!!

The high winds did nit hit until 8:00-8:30, then all hell broke lose.

Power went out at 9:00 on the dot.

About 9:30 heard this God awful sound from out side

Went out front only to find out the roof shingles were being ripped off the roof.

They were asphalt missles and One just about took my head off.

While I was out side, the huge magnolia tree was split down the middle just barely missing the corner of the house.

The sound I heard was the asphalt shingles being ripped off the house.

Went outside this morning about 7:00 am and found out close to 3/4 of the had been ripped off the house.

Water damage inside the living room, dinning room and den.

About 140 feet of chain loping fence down,.

The house moved so much the front door will not open.

Just about every one in this area has a carport.

Mine took such a hit that is is leaning at about 15/20 % out of level.

They say will will be with out power for weeks but damn I hope not that long

Lovely Florida

So the power finally came on today after 6 days without. Gotta respect those early Florida settlers - they musta been some desperate sunsab!tches! It's not the heat ya know, but the humidity! [biggrin] The wife said she missed the warm showers more than the air conditioning. I said I'd take cold showers any day over no AC. Regardless we have both now! YAY! Think I might go crank up the JTM 45 just because I can.

Hope to see a post from Bob Norton soon as well. [unsure]

Hope Notes is well. Haven't heard anything. Most of the gulf coast fared better than expected I think.

Generally the state is a total mess. Pretty sure I've never seen this many trees down in North Florida - and the Keys are reportedly wrecked.
