jdgm Posted September 24, 2017 Share Posted September 24, 2017 Got me thinking..... I'm sure the only amp I ever bought new was a Roland JC120; every valve/tube amp I got was/is at least second-hand. Probably the meanest heaviest bastid I ever spent £££ on was a Fender Super Twin, 180w no reverb with a graphic and a lot of hiss. Too much for me. I thought the article laid out some good things to look for and to avoid. Apparently the author buys amps for Jeff Tweedy and he seems to know his $hit.
