Phil Kelly
Just bought a used 2008 Gibson 339 in fantastic condition and everything works as it should apart from that the pickup selector switch is the opposite way round to usual. The up position switches on the bridge pickup and down is neck, the middle position is as normal and engages both. Could this be set at manufacture or is it possible it"s been reset by mistake during some sort of upgrade work ? Has anyone come across this before ? Hey Phil - The switch can be turned around by just loosening the nut that holds it and turning the switch body around. Since it's been turned around, you'll have to make sure you twist it back in the direction it came from so the wires don't get twisted around the switch.
