I ordered this cool Japanese copy of Yes - Relayer from Japan last week and it arrived today. It is a hybrid CD. It is an SACD and a standard CD all in one. I had no clue it was not normal size. I may get a few more like CTTE and Drama. It was about $30 bucks but it is damn cool. I put a regular size CD next to it so you can see how much bigger it is. The black part outside of the CD is just part of the holder it goes into.

So do you need an SACD player for that? I've never heard about that format, but read up the Wikipedia article about it. It sounds like the hybrid ones are supposed to be the same size as a CD or DVD?

I have several SACDs but have never seen the oversized packaging.

Yes and no. Yes to hear it as an SACD. No to hear it as a standard CD. So if you pop it in your car CD player it will work just fine.

I know, i look at Japanese records once in a while especially on records and CDs that do not sound good in the USA.

Looks like they put SACDs in the equivalent of a 10" record jacket, which is big enough to appreciate the art better.

We have lived in our house for 10 years now and I never pulugged my SACD player again.

I only got to see the Crappy 90125 Yes. Saw Steve Howe with Asia twice and once with GTR. He always played The Clap and Mood For A Day which made it worthwhile.

Saw them for the first time in 1976 and 12 more times since all the way up to three years ago. I have a group picture with them and and an aoutographed copply of the Fragile LP. The 5 who signed it are my favorite line-up. Howe, Wakeman, Anderson, Squire and white. And yes "Mood For A Day" is a great song and hard as hell I can not even come close to playing it. That is my favorite acoustic instrumental. I also saw Steve by himslef in a small club in Indianapolis. Great guitarist.
