Hello, I have a James Bay '66 Century LTD

I know it came with D'addario 11's

Can you tell me where i can find a matching set of strings that are the same gauge as the ones that came on the guitar

I like the way the original strings feel and would like to keep the same gauge

I have looked at a few sets of D'addario, but they are not the same gauge

Thanks for advice you can give, Rob

Nice guitar.

Are the strings tapewound or regular steel?

Do they have a wound 3rd (G) string?

The best steel strings with an unwound G (0.18 plain, top E is 0.11) I ever tried are DR Handmade Blues.

For tape/flatwound strings, Thomastik-Infeld. These have a wound G.

Both are a bit more expensive than the regular Ernie Balls, D'Addario etc.

But you should be able to get the exact same set of D'Addarios for your guitar pretty easily.

Good luck.

Nice guitar. You might get more response over on the Epiphone forum. Good luck. [thumbup]
