Fats Domino

Retired

Recommended Posts

I am an old school rock n roller, and grew up in the late 40s / 50s and it’s sad to hear so many of the greats I grew up listing to are passing away.

I know that they are getting up there in the years. Fats was 89, but it’s still sad to hear their passing.

He was one of the originals for sure.

One of the pioneers of Rock and Roll, he influenced many of us who grew up in the 50s and 60s, Billy Preston no doubt was a deciple of Fats style, and Paul McCartney stated that he wrote Lady Madonna with Fats Domino’s Blue Heaven in mind.RIP, 89 is a damn good run.

I was born 1953 and listened to all the 40's / 50's from what Mom listened to. It is sad there all going on. RIP Fats.
