Gibson Artist
I go to musiciansfriend, looking at 12 strings, to be more specific the model Guild F-2512E and the Deluxe version of the same model. For some reason, i cannot find the specs on the Deluxe model anywhere on the internet? All i find is a copy of the specs on the regular version? The Delux version seems to have gold tuners and tuning pegs but literally nothing else i can see different? The regular version is a pale blond maple and the deluxe is a more orange looking maple? The delux is normally 50 dollars cheaper but is on sale 50 dollars less even tho its sold out? When i go to Guild's website all i see is the regular model which makes me wonder is the deluxe last years or older? Can anyone tell me if there is any other differences? i can buy regular now, or reserve the deluxe but kinda like the pale blond finish i little better i think. Any help appreciated! I will link both ads, first the regular http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/guild-f-2512e-jumbo-12-string-acoustic-electric-guitar Now here is the Deluxe http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/guild-f-2512e-deluxe-12-string-acoustic-electric-guitar
fortyearspickn
You realize, of course, this is a Gibson Axoustic forum, right?
gearbasher
The deluxe has a maple neck. The other is mahogany.
Gibson Artist
You realize, of course, this is a Gibson Axoustic forum, right? Yes, but if i put this in the lounge, the ops would only move it back to the acoustic forum and i didnt feel like signing up for Guild forums just for one stupid question. I was just hoping someone might know something.

Not that neck wood makes that big a deal, i realize the top n sides adds the overwhelming majority of the sound, but still...

Bought the Deluxe, out of stock till the 12th, but i thank you for the info, after losing my j-50 and no cash to get another, this is a decent consolation prize. fortyearspickn
Congrats! Guilds are good guitars: this one looks great. You may find you like it more than your J50!
