So back in August I bought off Reverb a 2014 Merlot Gibby LP Trad Pro II body and neck. I bought a Gibson Traditional Wiring Harness off the bay and all the associated hardware that would be on a LP Traditional. I bought Lindy Fralin Zebra Pure PAF's for it with the neck at 7.5k and bridge at 8k. It has the slim 60's neck and I believe it is weight relieved, yet it is the heaviest guitar I own. So I wired it up like any normal 2 pup Hum Gibson. I did not want the Boost Circuit that came with the original Pro II, so it is not on my LP Trad Pro II. So what kind of modern LP is this more like? A Standard a Classic or another of the 90 or so models of LP's?

Here are pics of the guitar. They are in there with tons of other guitar porn shots. The LP should be on the last 2 pages.

The only thing that I see in the link are 7 pictures of an acoustic guitar.

Well cos you still have zebras its still looks most like a Trad Pro with a 60s neck :) They don't do many with those pickups and I believe they did those guitars with both 50s and 60s necks..

I'd call it a "Gibson FZ Fan Standard".

Seriously, it seems most like a Standard to me. What year standard you say? I don't know. They've changed a lot.

I call my Joe B. LP a Standard and I'm not sure that's right either. Then, I don't know squat.

Whatever you call it, it looks great!

It's a 2014. The Fralin's are the business. And his shop is only about an hour from here in Richmond. I recently bought a TRC that says Traditional for it.

I'd call it a "Gibson FZ Fan Standard". I like that.

Thanks. Gibson called it Merlot, but it is more brown than red. I would have liked it to be a little more red, but it is a keeper.

Thx. I built the whole thing for about 1400. About the same price a comperable used one of the same year would go for, 2014. Got the body and neck on Reverb for $1050 and you know how much the rest of the hardware and stuff go for. Got used Lindy Hums for $80 each. This is the 4th LP I have owned. 2 Studio's, a Classic and this. The rest have been sold. This one is staying. The Classic was really nice. It was one of those ones with snot green trap's and the 1960's pickguard.
