MatsJ Posted January 19, 2018 Share Posted January 19, 2018 I purchased my Les Paul Custom probably 1999. It has serial number 7 9272 on the back of its neck. I guess it means that it is a reissue model from 1957 produced 1999, correct? Is there any more available information about this guitar, where an by whom it was built? Anything about its original? Call them at: 1-800-4GIBSON and give them the model and serial numbers and they will tell you all you want to know about it. That's what I did with my Gold Top only I Emailed them at: service@gibson.com. They told me what shop built it, the year it was made and the price it sold for new. Good luck!
