Mark Simpkin
GIBSON ES-355 Ebony I am talking to my insurance company a the moment and we are discussing the replacement options for my ES-355 Ebony. I have been reassured by Fender that my Custom Shop Telecaster 59 Relic can be replaced in the exact "Lightly Road Worn" condition I purchased it in. My Question is: Can this also be achieved with Gibson Custom Shop if I supply the serial number? I have written twice to Gibson Custom Shop but as yet have received no response. HAs anyone any experience on this? regards

Not sure if you have an ebony fretboard, but it looks like you do. Gibson may not be able to do those since their little fiasco a few years back. You have to find a custom ("made to measure") dealer and work through them. If you get an ebony board I will happily eat it.
