Bob Dylan SJ-200 Player's Edition

Hi guys,I'm really digging this guitar! I had to sacrifice my two other gibson jumbos to get it but I think it was worth it. Here are some pics and I will do a video review of it soon on my YouTube channel, this guitar sounds very very resonant compared to the standard gibson sj even with its double pickguard! loud and nice being when but nice and articulate too when fingerpicked.

P.S. I think I need your help guys since it's been awhile since I've been here but how can I post pics here? Thanks for your help guys!

Congrats Pinoy! Did you get yours at Calgary South L&M? Because I might have played it. It is AWESOME!

Edit: Nope it isn't the same one. I have a close-up photo and it doesn't have your serial number. They are incredibly resonant guitars.

No, I traded my J200 Standard for a 2012 SJ200 Golden Age (maple) a couple of years ago at the attic sale. But that Dylan model is every bit as responsive as the Golden Age. The differences, other than the double guards, AFAIK, are the Dylan has rosewood bridge and fingerboard where the Golden Age has ebony, the Dylan has the classic keystone Gotoh tuners where the Golden Age has gold Grover Imperials and the Dylan has the AWESOME Baggs Anthem.

Rock on my friend!

Congratulations - so cool to have one of these on Board.

The ex I played when they were released - brand new from the shop-wall - was a stunner.

Look forward to the review.

Hoping to get it uploaded tonight my friend, I will miss my two other previous super jumbos but I will be making new memories with this one. :)

Jaw on the floor here...I adore the Dylan 200s. Never played one as they don’t seem to have made it to the UK but visually I’d class them as the ultimate SJ200. Absolute porn! The double ‘guards would really suit my wilder moments too.

By the way Pinoy, did you previously have a ‘41 Reissue SJ100? I seem to remember seeing a great YouTube review on it by yourself...I had one for a while but had to sell it to fund car repairs last year. I miss that guitar enormously, I loved it.

Hi Jinder, yup I did! I sacrificed(sold) it along with my blond sj-200 standard in order to get this guitar. :)

Great playing in that vid by the way! I’m glad that you’re happy with the trade for the Dylan 200...my main guitar is my blond SJ200 standard, I’d love to add a Dylan to the stable!

Thanks Jinder, one thing I noticed right away was the lightness of the J200 Bob Dylan compared to the standard one. Maybe that adds to its responsiveness and loudness too.

From Ludwig van Beethoven straight into blues on a Bob Dylan guitar. Guess it says it all.

This Jumbo can do everything and you already show the direction.

Don't think there's any doubt it found the right home. One can almost hear it in your voice. The romance is real, , , is there anything better. .

Many happy hours to you 2 - and may the Board be the lucky watchers of new films as things breaks in. There are big times ahead for all of us.

. . . . . . . . . "It looks like a woman's hair" - hahe, , just great, , , won't be forgotten soon.
