O'Mahony
Hoping to turn some ideas on how best to understand the evolution of the Gibson ES 175. Is there a published reference or a site showing the changes of this model through the years? My interest is understanding the changes from the early years, ie. neck size, nut width, finishes, options and generally being able to identify originality of a guitar and also being able to pick out modifications. Ultimately, looking to have the knowledge to make a good decision on the purchase of an early production 175. Thanks in advance for any and all reply's. Peace, tim

O'Mahony
I have received my book "The Gibson ES175 It's History and Players" by Adrian Ingram and have to say I'm very pleasantly pleased with the content and also it's photos. Anyone wanting to possibly better understand this model guitar through the years (published in 1994) I would recommend it. Found my copy on "Thrift Books" used for less than $10.- Cheers tim
