uncle fester
Folks - I'm looking at older J45s / Southern Jumbos, but not a fan of the narrow nut width. I believe (could be wrong) the newer models have a wider nut. Does anyone know when Gibson started using the wider nuts? Thanks for any input - Rgds br
ksdaddy
Are you talking like the late 60s nuts? I think they started them sometime in 65 and went through 69-ish. I had a 1969 ES-150DC with the skinny neck but also a couple 1969 Les Paul Personals with nice clubby necks and a little wider nut.
uncle fester
the '60s yes, but thought I saw some from the '70s as well. Ideally I'm looking for something in the 90's or early 2000 - so wasn't sure when they changed. Thx!
