Hi. I have experienced some recent buzzing from my LP. I put a strap lock on and put a screw in near the pickup selecter that was a bit longer than the factory one. Am wondering whether this may have caused an issue. I took the back cover off and the screw hasnít got anywhere near it. Would this have affected it? Cheers.

String buzz?

Rattling truss rod nut?

gnat trapped in pickup cavity?
I sometimes think; therefore I am intermittent

I'd suggest "Burg Jerky?" but the number of members who would understand the allusion is rather low nowadays...
And as the OP hasn't visited here in three weeks I doubt he's going to be upset by my (apparently) useless suggestion.

You UK'ers and your funny talk.

Could be a lot of stuff. Once for me the nut that tightens the tuner to the headstock was loose. It took me about 45 mins to figure it out and it will drive you crazy.

Personally, I have never had a nut buzz on me but the question is good on how to eliminate that from becoming a "huge" problem. Maybe the site gurus will have more to add.
