Ben Pupeza Posted February 22, 2018 Share Posted February 22, 2018 I bought a new gs400 pro 1966 yesterday. I has coil splitting. When I split the coil my amp buzzes or hums. I also have to turn up the volume. Is this normal for these type of pickups? I am just guessing that the humbuckers put out more power and that also the term humbucker was coined because they get rid of the hum of a single pickup. Am I onto something?
