Joe M
What holds the G-force mechanism on the headstock? What I’m really asking is, how hard is it to remove the thing and are there any holes, etc. left when removed? Thanks
SteveFord
I believe that it's simply double sided tape.

What I’m really asking is, how hard is it to remove the thing and are there any holes, etc. left when removed? Thanks The G-Force is very easy to remove. The only thing holding it to my 2015 Les Paul were the six hex nuts on the front face of the headstock (the ones that go over the shaft of the string posts) - there should be no extra holes visible once the G-Force has been discarded (i.e. sold on Ebay ). Fitting replacement machine heads might require the drilling of small pilot holes to accommodate the tiny screws that anchor them to the rear of the head, but other than that, it's really simple to do. I was going to upload a photo showing removing of the G-Force, but I've apparently used up my "global upload quota", whatever that is!
