harrierguy
Just bought a 1980 es-347, previous owner replaced original machine heads, stop bar, bridge and pickup covers with chrome or nickel finish. I would like to replace these items with gold finish items like original....Trying to figure out which bridge is appropriate. Any suggestions? thanks! codename
I replaced a bridge on a 347, not sure what year it was but it was the stock Nashville bridge in gold. It also had a brass nut. I replaced the black knobs with gold. Here's some pics.
rickc
Note that the original tailpiece is a TP-6 as shown in the photo and the bridge posts are special; there should be a black ring at the base of each post. My ES-Artist is identical.
Stinger22
Very similar to mine I bought new around 1980 in Lafayette LA. I have a regular tail piece on it now that Roger Fritz, Gibson/Fritz Brothers, gave me when he did some work on it he also had a Super 7 pickup for the bridge as mine had gone out. Gigged it for years but now stays home safe and sound and use a Memphis Custom Shop ES-339 that looks like it's baby brother!
