Winston67
I'm thinking of picking up a used '65 Elitist Casino, and wondered if there had been production changes over the years and whether some years are preferable to others. Looks like they've been making this guitar for a while. Any thoughts? Thanks.

There are bound to be subtle variations in tone and resonance between individual instruments, but year to year should be pretty consistent. charlie brown
Yeah, the standard "Elitist" Casino is pretty much the same. However, there is a Limited Edition "Elitist Outfit" line, that is made to earlier Kalamazoo spec's, including Gibson style truss rod, 2 hole truss rod cover, and Nitro finishes. There is a Riviera model, as well. http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Archtop/Ltd-Ed-Elitist-1965-Casino-Vintage-Outfit.aspx http://www.epiphone.com/Products/Archtop/Ltd-Ed-Elitist-1966-Custom-Riviera-Outfit.aspx CB
Dennis G
Parabar is usually spot on regarding Epi specs/history/etc. All I know is I have an 8 year old Elitist Casino (see avatar) that I just love. And yeah, I added the Bigsby.
