Pat in the hat
I recently installed locking tuners on my telecaster. I’m sold on the technology. Anybody have any experience installing them on the 335? If so, what do you recommend? I want ones that are complete drop in. No drilling, adapter plates, or other headstock modifications. Also at least 18:1 tuning ratio.
badbluesplayer
I have locking Grovers on my 335. Grover 502 models. They drop right in.
brazil66
These look good to me, vintage tuner housing, double ring, 15:1 ratio. http://visionguitar.com/shop/kluson-33-double-line-double-ring-locking-tuners-nickel-set-of-6/
AngelDeVille
Grovers came on my SG, and I bought a second set off ebay for my (used) V, because the set on it was "upgraded" by the PO. They are very nice, but for looks I keep the Deluxe on my others.
Tyler A
I put Grovers on my LP, and I think they are great. I did have to drill a hole because it had the robot tuners on it. I have read the Kluson Revolution are nice and no holes are needed if you have Kluson style tuners on it already.
