Howdy boys

I’m Dave and am glad to be here. Guitar lover and hack for close to 50 years. Down to just a Les Paul Studio, Tele, Taylor and a couple harmonicas but get a beaut of a 335 in 3 days and am really looking forward to it...in fact I haven’t been this excited since my grandson was born.

This’ll be the second 335 I’ve owned and anticipate it’ll be my all time favorite although the Tele’s held that spot for quite a while now. Over the years have had a handful of LP’s, handful of Gretschs, a Strat, Ric 360, Fender P-bass, a pair of DRRI’s, killer AC30 and others. Still have my sons drum kit wrapped up in a closet and may set it up in the coming weeks.

Dang, doing this from a phone is a bummer...this little bit took about 20 minutes. I’m guessing I’ll do a lot more reading than writing.

Thanks dReit, bit motley myself.

Retired, congratulations. May it be long and enjoyable. Never cared for Teles until I picked this one up. ‘08 American Deluxe Ash in Butterscotch Blonde I bought from the original owner in ‘09 who couldn’t get along with it as he preferred Strats.

Thanks Texas(?), very good to hear and would love to see it. Had a road worn 2000 black dot gloss I added a Bigsby to and absolutely loved that guitar. I’ve read some here have recommended using a site called Imgur to upload photos with. I got the app and signed up but so far haven’t figured it out. It’s not what I’d imagined. This is a ‘16 in Light Burst. Guy I bought it from had since picked up the same guitar only figured as he preferred its look.

The new 335;

Some of my past ladies. Wine red with chrome ‘08 Les Paul Studio I bought brand new and still have was in the bedroom. Just ordered a pair of P-94’s for her. ‘06 Black and white Ric 360 I’d bought from a buddy was already down the road with another buddy. Had a big caddy green Country Club with Dynas I sold to make room for that Black Phoenix (that was a mistake).

Later added a brand new Caddy Green Duo Jet with Dynas...THAT was a keeper. Still have the Tele and the root beer LP Studio Plus is my sons.

I tried to attach these via the little picture icon above but a message popped up and told me to go blank myself.

Impressive gear in the photos, really love your 335, very nice and enjoy playing her. I never liked Tele's either to be honest but I do like Strats. I have neither but I did see a Tele yesterday I wouldn't mind having in the future. As of now I want to replace a 12 string acoustic I sold awhile back with a better one.

Nice collection and congrats on your 335. Very nice.

I haven't switched over to Imgur or alternative photo service yet so I can't post any photos here at the moment. My profile page has a thumbnail for my 335 or you can view my rather modest collection here:

The Ltd Viper 50 is my grandson's guitar, but he leaves it at my house so I play it the most.

Is it just me or is the 2003 Les Paul Classic pictured a good lookin' guitar? Since it has Classic in its name you know it will never go out of style. The 2002 faded special is no slouch either. Pretty to look at and I'll bet pretty to hold.

You are correct, sir. The LP Classic is a plain top, but I have had numerous compliments on the grain/ finish. Slim taper 60s neck. The feel is very good. There are those who don't like the 496R/500T pickups. I have always liked them. I bought this guitar to be a heavy/heavier model for harder rock music and it has never failed to impress.
