fortyearspickn Posted April 9, 2018 Share Posted April 9, 2018 Actually, what I thought I wrote was that I was pleased non-Americans appreciate 'American Music', and that (based on Hogeye's recount of his positive experiences with them) the unfair characterization of the French people's disdain of Americans was a silly cliché and a general assumption made by people who generalize and had not actually ever seen a French National. We might not have won the Revolution and would all be talking English without French assistance. Lafayette - over 2 dozen places in the US bear the name. Including US Navy Ships.
