dallasblues
Anyone know an acoustic, solid-top, equivalent to my '52 ES-125? I absolutely love the feel of my guitar and would someday love to find a completely acoustic archtop that's similar. Any ideas?
ksdaddy
An L-48 is pretty close. An L-50 is a little fancier. The OLDER L-50s (prior to 1947-ish) were plainer like the L-48 as well. The L-50 always had a spruce top as far as I know. The L-48 was typically mahogany but some spruce ones got churned out too. I think it depended a lot on what the guy reached for in the pile. Versatile
The Godin 5th Avenue is a little deeper.... IMO a fine 'modern' take on the acoustic archtop theme Very popular on the acoustic circuit and well priced.... V
