There are tons of choices out there. You looking for inexpensive, high end, Gibson or an After Market maker? Do you have an ABR-1 or Tune-O-Matic.

Ebay, Reverb, Stew-Mac, Tone Pros ect. Tons of places out there to purchase guitar parts.

I prefer Gibson. I don't know what is the difference between ABR-1 and Tune-o-matic. I notice there are different price levels for the Gibson tail pieces and bridge. What is that about? I think there should be one kind just different color choices.

...I don't know what is the difference between ABR-1 and Tune-o-matic...

The original Gibson Tune-o-Matic bridge introduced in late 1953 was what we call the ABR-1 bridge. Circa 1976 there was a redesign and the newer version of the Tune-o-Matic is what we call the 'Nashville' bridge.

The main differences were that the screws for intonation adjustment were now located through the wall of the bridge; the bridge itself was of slightly larger dimensions and the method by which the bridge was attached to the body of the guitar was changed.

Here are links showing the two variations;

ABR-1;

Nashville;

The two types are not interchangeable although some conversion kits do exist to allow the more 'vintage-looking' ABR-1 to be used in the Nashville post-sockets.
