When I opened it up - the control cavity looks weird to me, I have never had a custom shop before, but my standards and trads all had the metal plate in there that the pots were mounted on. Some of the photos show the potentiometers - mine is the same as yours - the metal plate is missing. I've assumed this is normal. Mine is a 2001 LPCS in new condition.
