Hey, I love fiddling around with pickups and gadgets for acoustics, but they can do your head in..... one of the reasons I bought the Schertler was to electrify the Martins that I don’t want to have pickup surgery, except it doesn’t fit. Next I tried it in my 59 LG3 and it is too close to the strings, can you believe? If I ever played the 16th or higher frets (unlikely), they would klunk. Also getting a ‘phasey’ sound because the strings are too close. Took the pickup out and put it in my Waterloo and it is all good. Bizarre! (Waterloo already has a pickup though!)
