Oh, I'm still looking for a bird, alright- just thinking that the maple in a short scaled square might be the recipe for one sweet strummer. Mr E put me on the trail of one- (natural finish, not the bright red) the seller came down in price a smidge, but unfortunately, it's in Japan, and shipping either way would be a roll of the dice. You might remember this comparo I'd done between these two this time last summer- I spend more time with the rosewood one (sporting the worn pickguard, non-worn guard is a 2016 Vintage), torrefied/schmorefied, sometimes one just catches you more than the other (same D'Addario nickel brz strings 3 wks prior): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8dGlsU4zjM Thx for keeping an eye out for me, though.
