drathbun
I’m sure this has been posted here before but it bears repeating. There are also some great shots of the Johnny Depp Pirates J200. Big Sky Builder

fortyearspickn
Great article. Interesting Ren states the overall quality on a Standard J-200 is the same as on one of his masterpieces. So the only difference is the cosmetics or 'bling'. Yep - he should be running Gibson. Or, specifically SVP of Operations. Also interesting on how they xrayed and researched and specifically intended on some guitar braces to rough cut and leave them un-sanded. I recall some folks here complaining the rough cut braces in their new Gibsons were an indication of poor quality.

From what I've read - Ren is too smart to (want to) be a CEO.

Plus, Ren has said he won't leave Montana. Martin has basically had a position open for him to take any time he wants it. But Nazareth isn't Bozeman. Quite true, but a new CEO with smarts might give him the position of "Senior VP - Acoustic Production."
bayoubengal1954
We could just let him retire, because that’s what he wants. :)
