sparquelito
It's a Melody Maker. Nice guitars. Good call, cody78. She is indeed a Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker, model designation LPMM. She was made between 2003 and 2006, and featured a single cutaway Santa Maria (or equivilant) body, Spanish cedar neck with rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, single vintage P-90 pickup, and the tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece. She retailed back in the day for $529, and that included a factory gig bag. She was available in your finish, Satin Cherry, and either Satin Ebony or Satin Yellow finish. Yours just by the visuals we can make out in that photo, is worth $300 to $325 USD. All this according to Fjestad's Blue Book. :)

I paid $300 last year. So that is not a mahogany body and neck?
sparquelito
Thank you for that info. Very much appreciated. I paid $300 last year. So that is not a mahogany body and neck? No sir. The original issue of the Gibson Melody Maker, made 1959-1970, had a mahogany body and neck. As did the next generation of them, between 1977 and 1983. And the later incarnation (1986-2000) had the mahogany body and neck. And interestingly enough, the latest versions of the Melody Maker, 2007 and newer, also feature mahogany bodies and necks. It was just that narrow sliver of Melody Maker history, your 2003 to 2006 models, that had the Santa Maria hardwood bodies and the Spanish cedar neck. I think that that is pretty cool, quite personally!! :)
Wild Bill 212
A late reply but from what I have seen over the years, that headstock and the Tuning Machine Buttons are a sure sign its a Melody Maker. Whether its on an 'SG', Les Paul or any other Gibson Body...it gets the Melody Maker label....
