Chezpop13
I recently changed the strings on my les paul tribute, and i noticed what looked like either a pink tarnish on the bridge, or the plating on the bridge came off. It doesn't affect the playability, just doesn't look as nice.
bigtim
It would be better if you could post a pic. Also when you play. does your hand rest on that part of the bridge? If so it could be your body chemistry doing it.
Eracer_Team
is it a gold colour bridge?
kidblast
I would assume it's mostly on the Bass side of the bridge? If so... sounds like it's the nickle plating on the bridge reacting to the oils in your skin. It's not unusual, and there's really not much to be done about it. Big Bill
Could the platting be worn exposing the brass?
Leonard McCoy
Dude, pics. Can't be that hard.
Pinch
I've used Gorgomyte(.com) to remove all kinds of stains. I know it's a fretboard cleaner but it cleans just about everything. I also use it for deep-cleaning of fretboards every other year or so, before lemon oiling them for the winters (they get super dry and cold over here) . No affiliation. Just a PSA for guitar players.
