oliver9419
Hey guys, Just a couple of questions regarding my new Epiphone. This might be me just going crazy but is the headstock a bit slanted? Is this normal and has anyone else experienced this? Also, I bought an SG hard case for it because that's what the Epiphone website said is the correct case for it. but it seems to sit a bit slanted in the case. Can this affect the neck at all? I've got a terrible OCD over necks, I get paranoid over necks warping and such. Just want to make sure everything is okay with my guitar. I've tried to capture the headstock position and the slightly slanted way it sits in the case in the photos attached.
LOSTVENTURE
I see that the headstock is angled, which is good, but other than that, I'm not sure that I see the slant that you mentioned. The case also looks good. As long as the neck is properly supported at the body and just below the headstock, you should be good. I'm also a stickler for protecting the neck, and this case looks similar to several of mine.
kidblast
by slanted are you referring to "twisted" or askew? I see nothing unusual with these pictures, looks like a nice Wilshire! Only real way to know is a fret gauge on the bass and treble side of the neck or a good precision straight edge.
Big Bill
I do not see anything odd. I see the head stock leans to the left in the case, but I'm willing to bet that its the case causing that to happen. Nice Wilshire, I would like to see pics of the whole guitar. Nice Wilshire, I would like to see pics of the whole guitar. agree, is usually the case that's pushing the head-stock towards one of the sides. my LP cases seem to do what this wilshire case is doing. this will not cause any issues, especially the right case since the instrument wont bounce around in there like a poorly fitted case could

My White Epi SG Special in an Epi SG Case.... Notice how the body of my SG is slanting in the case, just the opposite of what your Wilshire is doing.... I usually have to push it in to seat it correctly.. My SG is considerably longer, but fits very nicely..................... Its a good case and as long as the bolsters keep your guitar from sliding around, its all good. Beautiful Wilshire though... Enjoy....
