Gibson acoustic picks

Random question: is it possible to buy Gibson acoustic branded picks, possibly heavy or extra heavy? I got one with the new guitar but it's a little too supple for me.

Just google it, you will find plenty of them.

They only seem to have two in their inventory today

I’ve bought the larger sized ones from them in the past so they do usually more variety of them

They’re a great company and a quick email to them will find out if they have more in the furture

Or ...

I don't really understand the question...

Gibson picks can be found everywhere, heavy or x-h and i have many at home, example :

https://www.thomann.de/fr/search.html?sw=pick&filter=true&manufacturer%5B%5D=Gibson

If you are asking for the pick that comes with Gibson Acoustics, unfortunately to my knowledge they are only provided with a new guitar, and i believe that it is the pick used on the guitar during final inspection at Gibson (somewhat the 1st that touched the guitar...). I would really like to find these tortoise looking picks for sale... [sad]

You can find these picks at https://store.gibson.com/products/tortoise-picks-12-pack/ - these don't have the "Gibson Acoustic" logo but they are the same picks.

When i had my endorsement deal back in 2008/9 I enquired about Gibson picks, and they very kindly sent me ten packs of 72 mediums. 720 picks! I found they were too skinny for acoustic playing (the Heavies are brilliant) but they were a dream for mandolin, and I’ve only recently run out of that batch. I gave quite a few to friends who went on to buy their own, so it all helps to spread the word!

I have been disappointed with the fit and finish of my Gibson picks... Glue everywhere.

(Serious - Love the black heavy's - I bought a tin for $15 bucks a year ago. set for years...)

You should get some Martin picks

Now Sal, you just have to try about 20 of them to find the right one. But once you find the right Gibson pick, there is none better. Worth it to put up with some QC issues.

Evidently you guys are too rich and spoiled to care about how you spend $3000, well I do. And you don't need be act like jerks or five years old bullies who are mocking somebody who does.

Thank you Gibson, I was looking for the "Gibson acoustic" ones as it's clearly written on the thread, I know they are not generally available for sale, that was the reason why I was asking.

Alex. Bully? Really? How old are we all? My tongue in cheek joke was in reference to the mind numbing of posts, particularly on another forum, complaining about Gibson.

I was not mocking you, and I’m certain I don’t even know what guitar you own. Maybe you posted a Gibson complaint post... I don’t even know, and wouldn’t remember anyway. I hope you enjoy your guitar whatever it is, and I’m sorry if I offended you with my pick glue post.

Alex, sorry you are upset. Those were jokes that were not directed at you. As Sal noted, this was in reference to so many Gibson Guitar Haters who always say you have to play 20 guitars to get a good one, so we were taking the subject into the pick realm. I don’t know where you got the bullying idea, but I’m not going to tell you how to feel.

Like Sal I like the black Gibson Heavy picks. Hope you find some to try!

Dunno if you're kidding, here is an example though.

Mine is different, it doesnt have this kind of circle, just written "Gibson acoustics" on it in gold letters but tortoise too.

So let me get this straight, there are gitar picks that Gibson makes and they are specifically for acoustic guitar?

As Gibson has written, they are like the standard ones but stamped "Gibson acoustic", I got one in the case of my AJ, that was black, and I got one tortoise with the "lifestyle pack" (keyring etc...)..I liked the little touch but they are medium so a little too supple for my taste.

I usually use Gibson H or XH or Fender celluloid extra heavy, so I was wondering if they also came in different size...also I never seen a tortoise Gibson pick, just black ones.
