vikingvx
I have a Gibson ES 125 TDC that is giving problems on the G string. The intonation is correct as it is in tune open and on the 12th fret. The problem is that all of the frets in between are sharp. For example on the 2nd fret (A) the guitar is about 3 to 4 bars sharp on a Snark. This happens all the way down the board although the amount of sharp changes. It has an adjustable bridge and I have noticed that the tuner slide for the G string is about 1/16 inch off center. All the rest of the slides seem to be pretty well centered. Could this be the problem. Thanks.
marktkiernan@gm
Is the pickup post too close to the string? It can change the way the string oscillates if the magnet is to close to the string when fretted.
bobframe
Is the guitar's action high? Maybe pulling string sharp when you fret it?
