MorrisrownSal
That’s was fantastic... And he knows every inch of that song... I can’t imagine doing that live...
62burst
Y'just can't have a Chris Smither, and not see his feet (which greatly help to define his sound): Had to see him in person to see what was going on there.
j45nick
I see Chris has a January, 2019 tour throughout Ireland and the UK. Forumites over there--and you know who you are--should make an effort to see him. He's worth it.
E-minor7
Not bad at all, , , but he leaves out maritime scenes, , , , doesn't he, captain Nick. In fact quite a lot more.

Yes, well, there are about 50 verses to the song, after all. I'll cut him some slack. I was thinking about whether I could ever remember all the verses at my age, if I tried. I can barely remember all the verses to Mr. Tambourine Man, my all-time favorite. And I've been listening to that for about 50 years.
Jumboluther
Chris Smither is a national treasure. Not so much Dylan's nonsensical ramblings IMO. Many and better examples of Smither's work on the Tube. Check out "Origin of Species."
