Hey, Marcus! I never thought of a Cdim as being Cm6b5 before! Thanks for that! Check this out( you may already know). In a whole/half diminished scale( say C, for example), there is a major triad at the root and also one at the flat 5th... it makes a great way to play over the C7(alt) chord. You get a C7 with b9, #11, and a natural 13th! Anyway, be well!

Boy, do I feel stupid! The scale in question is half/whole diminished...sorry for any confusion.
