Brad, being a father of a child with autism (Aspergers) I do see some signs. Especially with the antisocial behavior and the fixation with Epiphones being copies and "photo flame". If he is in the spectrum, it appears that his issues may have been ignored and he was not placed with a teacher like yourself that could teach him how to behave socially. We do not know how old Rev 6 is, but if he is in his mid to late 30s and his parents didn't do there job properly, he probably has never been diagnosed and left to do what he does.

I'm not a teacher like yourself, but a Dad that is very active with his special needs child and took the time to educate himself. I also know that it takes a very special person to do the job you do and I applaud Special Ed teaches for what they do, its a very difficult job. Thanks Brad for being there for those children. What he said. I meant zero disrespect.

Its hard to ignore Rev when he comes in and tries to make the Epiphone forum unusable. So this thread will continue to provide lots of reading material about Revs escapades nocking Gibson's affordable Epiphone products or tying to push his crappy binding work on us..
Update.... Note if no more Rev threats are detected I will not make any additional posts on this thread... :)

I noticed moderator ksdaddy replied to one of rev's threads, maybe he has put a stop to him? Here's hoping anyway.

I loved that. A vintage Epi.

The point is to play guitar - any guitar, not jeer at where it comes from.

What's the music it makes like? What's the result?

What else matters?

I have to admit I have a good laugh at Rev6 though.

I often hang out on another forum, called ETSG
which of course is devoted to everything SG...

we have a few trolls there, one of whom seems chillingly
like the subject of this thread. Posts photos of instruments
he doesn't own, etc.

There isn't really any cure. He's been banned from ETSG
only to change his user name and create a new account and
then begin the same annoying and boring behavior.

What I did on that forum was to simply block him.
There's a way to do it on that forum, and probably on MLP as well.
It works.
Pages and pages of really dumb stuff just disappeared like smoke.
So that helps ME enjoy the forum in peace.

But it doesn't help new guys... To me the worst is when someone
comes aboard all excited about a new instrument, or even a new used
instrument, only to be greeted by snarky negativity from a jerk.
Welcome to the forum, eh? Who needs it?

So I don't know what this forum can do. I haven't looked to see if we
can block individual members. But that's my suggestion. It doesn't do
anything to protect new Epi fans from senseless abuse.

IF our admins are serious about protecting new Epi fans, there are ways
to detect a troll when they try to change their outward name. I don't know
how that works, but someone who speaks HTML probably does.

Anyway, good luck to all of us. Opinions on this thread are shared by many
who don't speak up often. I own two Epi guitars, an '06 Wilshire replica and
a '14 ES-339 P-90 pro. I'm very fond of both of them.

We had a few days of peace without Rev posting images found on google or printerest of guitars he doesn't own.. It seems Rev only mentions what they look like, but not what they play or sound like. Have to assume the trol does not have the skill to play or Rev would understand that an instrument does not have to be expensive to sound good. Its all in the hands............

He's from France.

He's a mime.

We all saw what he did to that Gibson Les Paul.

He's been ousted from half the guitar forums on the internet.

Trolling is the only thing he's got.

I pity the fools that have to actually talk to him in real life.

Looks like he's breaking in a new catch phrase about plastic guitars though...

I had to vote - and I voted YES, ban this guy. This poster's crap is not particularly personally offensive, but it is just spamming at this point. No one wants to see any of this content Rev6 posts and the negative absolute value is greater than the absolute value of the number of total posts. It is not like the value is just negative a few hundred, but rapidly approaching -1000. I have to think that Rev6 holds a record of the most negative reputation in this site's history... If not, I'd hate to know who the record holder is, because Rev6's content is pure trash these days. I don't like to call anyone out really, but damn, this stuff is just stupid and serious or positively contributing members want to not have to spend time sorting through this poster's garbage. Is there a way to block someone's content where their crap just doesn't show up? Either I'm missing something here or this feature doesn't exist.

RULE #5Spamming will not be tolerated.

I could almost argue this, because MANY of this poster's threads are the same trash:8. Before you start a topic, perform a search to see if the question or topic you wish to create has been made before. If it has, post in the topic that already exists. Duplicate topics will be moved or closed.

These rules have been blatantly broken many times at this point. It's time to say bye bye fella. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Sorry all for this, but this guy is acting like he's f'n 3 or something.

You have to use a web browser like Chrome to do this. Go to your profile, and click on "Edit my Profile" located near the upper right of the screen. On the upper left side make sure you're in the Profile tab, at the bottom you will see "Manage Ignored Users". I have a few annoying members names in there.

The easiest way to ignore a user is to not look at their posts.
JUST SAY NO to clicking everything they post.
Even the lamest POS will give up when no one pays attention to them.

Works great, thank you. Intervention from on high might be unnecessary.

So I just followed the instructions above and blocked the troll.
--Il n'ya pas de quois, monsieur...

On a Mac: in the header, next to your name there are a couple of pointers.
click on one and there's a command to 'manage ignored users."

type ' im in, and lots of really dumb disinformation disappears.

That's easy to do, and maybe new guys offended by cave troll behavior
can figure out how to manage it. If he bores people on every forum,
then lots of people will be onto this.
