Is having more than one of a Gibson model just a Les Paul thing, or does the Gibson full sized semi ES-33x (333,335,345,347, 355) have a player / collector following?

I found the over the years the 16" semis have varied enough with different neck profiles and factory installed pups / electronics made my having more than one cover more sonic ground space.

That has to be a tongue in cheek question.
A cruise though guitar forums (including this one) will tell you that just about every basic Gibson model type has a following. You can add to your list various signature models like the Trini Lopez and the BB King Lucille.

No anger issues at all, and I think it is too bad that that you take offense at all, let alone enough to attack me for responding. I have a great 2012 Gibson ES335 with MHS Pickups & a Gibson Memphis Blacktop ES Les Paul with Bigsby also with MHS Pickups... Both are different but fantastic Guitars...

I don't see a need for any duplicates.. I do have other Gibsons & Epiphones. All do something different... Love them all..

I have a 2009 ES-345, 1975 Guild Starfire IV with a mahogany body and a 2013 Guild GSR Starfire VI with a spruce top and maple body. All are thin line semi hollow body guitars with dual humbuckers. These all seem like they are similar guitars but all are quite different playing and sounding and unique in their own way. I don't think I would but another Starfire or a ES-335. Although I would buy a ES-330 and I am not trying to be a smart ***.

Not ES 330's but I gave 3 Casino's. I like them as much as my ES Semi Hollows! Great Guitars! Not trying yo be a Smart *** either. Just don't want anyone to think they are lesser quality Guitars....

I have a Gibson ES335 TDC from 1999, made in Nashville with great Hepcat pickups. Killer guitar. A new ES335 traditional antique ebony, 2018. I’ve changed the tailpiece for an alumnium Gibson historic and set it wraparound. I have a rare Challenger II with Di Marzio pickups and an original vibrato system.

Yeah they kill. Now Gibson wants 5500 for them. Wonder why they have/had financial issues?

Not so much because of Guitars... It's all the other Dumb *** stuff they screwed up on in the past few years..

The Guitars, for the most part, have continued to be some of the best in the Business...

Your right but charging 5500 for guitars when they are trying to recover is ridiculous. I see tons of Gibson's for sale on Ebay from Japan cause they are the only ones who can afford them.
