rfiori9
How often should I use lemon oil on my rosewood fretboard?
bigtim
I prefer to do mine fairly often. Sometimes I have noticed that they will even seem to fade in color when it needs attention. So I started putting some lemon oil on my guitars everytime I change the strings. But I add the oil before I remove the old set I am replacing so it does not gunk up the new set. I do not know what kind of fret board you have but I think ebony needs less attention than rosewood does in my experiences.
sparquelito
I have found that if I just use Finger Ease on my strings (after playing a set), it helps not only the strings but the fingerboard as well. Nice and shiny, happy, and supple.
jedzep
One tiny drop of whatever oil you choose on a fingertip wrapped in a cotton cloth once a year is waaay plenty. Don't over goo it.
Pinch
Dry cold winters over here, and I never apply lemon oil more than once a year, in the fall. My experience is that is definitely enough.
