Hello

I found a 335 for sale for 1400 dollars. Its new. Its the kind without neck binding, and has black body binding.

Around the joint where the neck and body meet, the paint has aready cracked and there is a seam line. The dots on the fretboard have extra glue coming out on the edges.

Are these bad signs of a not well made guitar? It sounds good when played.

Interested because only 1400 dollars

But do t like the paint cracking and it’s new and the glue things.

I’d be concerned. Glue on the fretboard and a finish crack would make me look deeper. You say it’s new, from private party or business?

You’ve played it, do you feel the glue on the fretboard.

I've never seen glue coming out of fret dots, with that and the neck joint issue maybe it was dropped and the result had a fret marker or two pop out and some heavy handed "tech " just glued them back in?

A retail price of $1400 in some places would make it a pretty good deal "IF" what you're seeing in the finish "cracks" are stable, the marker glue is likely easily cleaned up.

I have and have had a few Gibsons where the neck joint paint had some checking or cracking and none ever worsened.
